One More Lap ~ We're a charity ultramarathon series making a big difference to our local communities ❤️
We say our ultras have a big heart. But really, it's our runners that do. When you take on One More Lap’s 12 hours of running round in circles. Because every step you take raises money for a local charity.
SAY CHEESE
Ultras shouldn't be this much fun
A real festival of running
One More Lap’s a special ultramarathon – A day-long festival with a bit of running thrown in.
All day our camp’s filled with runner’s gazebos, the sizzle of food cooking on grills, the beat of live music & the buzz of teams and their supporters.
It's a magical place you just have to experience.
As for the running…
Well, there are a few surprises for runners along the way to becoming a One More Lap ultra-runner.
Free + fundraising commitment
We’re committed to making positive impact to our local communities – so our ultras are 100% for charity.
This means our runners don't pay us to run. Instead they make a commitment to fundraise for the headline charity.
One More Lap is where social running meets social good.
For every runner, walker, crawler…
Ultras are intimidating, right? Only for the toughest of the tough?
Well, yeah, they are. One More Lap is a challenge. Regardless of how good a runner you are.
But our routes are short – between 3/4 and a mile-long laps – and flat.
Plus, you run as part of a team. And when you need a rest, head back into camp.
All of which means, if you can run 5km, you can be part of OML.
You can even do it if you're dressed as an alien or being abducted by aliens. Promise.
Your community made this happen
One More Lap ultras are organised by 50by50, a social enterprise that puts on events free of charge for small charities – the kind that might never be able to stage a fundraiser like this on their own.
It doesn't cost the charity a penny and 50by50 don't make any money from a One More Lap ultra.
That's because every 50by50 event is rooted in its local community: Run by locals, for a local charity, backed by local businesses.
It's community powered, start to finish.
