One More Lap for Helping Herts is a 12-hour, ultra-endurance charity running event coming to the Hertfordshire on 27th June 2026.

25 teams of runners will compete to do just one more lap of the Hertfordshire County Showground before the sun sets.

All to raise money for Helping Herts, a charity that brings local communities together to help children and young people in Hertfordshire get the support they need to thrive.

It's not about your legs

One More Lap will be a test of your mind as much as your body.

The course is short, open & pan-flat.

It will be windy.

It will be repetitive.

And every time you pass the entrance to camp, you’ll have a choice to make – will you quit & head back to the comfort of camp, or will you keep running & do One More Lap for Helping Herts?

Ultra accessible feelgood

Psst. Do you want to know a secret?

You don't need to be an ultra-runner to take part.

Sure, competitive teams will battle out the leaderboard for the most laps, but this is an accessible & friendly event where you can be a winner by walking the course dressed as an inflatable dinosaur (true story).

TEAM CHALLENGE

Shared suffering is _so_ much more enjoyable

"Because ultrarunning events are so difficult simply to complete, it feels more like a 'We're all in this together' rather than 'Me vs. You'."

Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc winner — Katie Schide.

Fundraising Festival of Running

One More Lap's so much more than just another ultra though. It's a day-long fundraising festival of running.

Our Event Camps are filled with music & laughter, food & drink and buzzing with the energy of runners & your support crew cheering you on.

It’s guaranteed to be a day you’ll never forget. Promise.

Why we're running One More Lap

Giving children the support they need to thrive

Helping Herts brings together local charities, businesses and communities to raise money and awareness – helping children and young people in Hertfordshire get the support they need to thrive.
Think of Helping Herts as Hertfordshire’s very own Comic Relief – an organisation that uses its collective strength and reach to raise money to support several frontline charities.
These charities are often doing essential work completely under the radar. Helping Herts helps put them centre stage – shining a spotlight on their work, and mobilising people across the county to fundraise.
Turning individual efforts into county-wide impact.
